Pattern Surpasses 1 Billion USD

SALT LAKE CITY—December 31, 2022—Pattern closes out 2022 by surpassing $1 billion in sales—a landmark moment for the company that started in a living room in 2013 and has since grown into the category leader for global ecommerce acceleration.

The milestone caps off a banner year for the company that saw it:

“We’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible with ecommerce acceleration,” says Pattern Co-Founder and CEO David Wright. “While these are fun milestones to celebrate, we’re really just getting started. Global ecommerce is a $7 trillion opportunity, and we’re excited to be building an acceleration platform that’s allowing brands to drive profitable revenue growth and scale globally like never before.”

Pattern’s early application of data science and development of innovative ecommerce technology and services has proven prescient—helping the company become the ecommerce accelerator of choice for hundreds of global brands.

To do this, the company developed the world’s first ecommerce acceleration platform—a technology and services stack that leverages data science, AI, and machine learning to help consumer product companies increase their online sales on direct-to-consumer websites, online marketplaces (including Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, and Tmall), and other digital channels—all while managing warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics.

To scale their businesses online, consumer brands used to hack together dozens of disparate and unconnected technologies and services. Pattern’s ecommerce acceleration platform does away with that structure and instead provides a single platform and service to manage a company’s online commerce from end to end.

Marrying these technologies and dozens more in one platform had never been done and creates unique synergies not possible with current industry offerings. Combined with the company’s team of leading experts, Pattern was able to further extend its lead over its competitors in 2022.

“At the end of the day, it really comes down to the power of our team,” says Pattern Co-Founder and CIO Melanie Alder. “We reached this milestone by taking each step of this journey together and building our offering brick by brick. This still is just the beginning, and we’re grateful to work alongside so many brilliant and dedicated people who are excited to help brands succeed.”
