Agency recognised for generating a 55% growth in online annual revenue for a long-standing retail client

Premier Partners Awards 2023

Melbourne – 8 December, 2023 – Leading global ecommerce and marketplace accelerator Pattern, today announced that it had won the Online Sales Breakthrough Award at this year’s Google ANZ Premier Partner Summit. Pattern was recognised with the prestigious award for its work generating a 55% growth in online annual revenue for a long-standing retail client in Australia.

The Google Online Sales Breakthrough Award recognises the agency that delivers a best-in-class e-commerce campaign that has helped clients react in real time to changing customer behaviours.

“Pattern is honoured to win the Online Sales Breakthrough Award at the Google ANZ Premier Partner Summit. This award, grounded in data and actual business results, meaningfully highlights Pattern’s success in delivering ROI and growth for our retail clients. It’s a great endorsement of our team’s effort and the substantial value we deliver brands,” said Merline McGregor, General Manager of Pattern ANZ.

Finalists in the Online Sales Breakthrough Award are assessed by Google based on the agency’s account data compared directly to other agency groups. The winning agency is the group with the highest proportional performance increase for clients over the course of a year.

To win the Online Sales Breakthrough Award, Pattern worked closely with its retail client to grow online sales year-on-year, while promoting store traffic and visibility through Google Ads solutions.

The agency’s work focused on areas like brand keyword campaigns, Performance Max campaigns, non-branded keywords campaigns, and Google discovery campaigns. Pattern also helped its client to optimise its best-selling and highest margin driving products in the Google Shopping product feed to support online sales growth.

As a result of its successful work program in 2023, Pattern delivered remarkable results for its retail client, including a significant increase in Paid Search revenue. This success was complemented by the enhanced performance of online product lines across various channels, including Google Shopping.

The retail client experienced year-on-year growth in:

  • Online revenue +55%
  • Transactions +44%
  • Click Through Rate +21%
  • Cost Per Click +15%
  • Clicks +7%

“The surge in online shopping and disruption to traditional retail models has forced brands to invest more into their digital programs to connect and entice today’s consumers. Central to a retailer’s digital marketing strategy is Paid Search and Google Shopping, not just as a means of reaching customers, but also for the data insights the activity provides. Pattern’s expertise in this area and our ability to scale reach across the Google network to promote awareness and activate sales opportunities, helps brands to fuel business growth,” concluded McGregor.
